The ratio of two adjacent sides of a parallelogram is 5:4. Its perimeter is 8 cm then, what is the length of the adjacent sides.

Let the length be 5x
Let the breadth be 4x
Perimeter =2(5x+4x)
8=2(9x)
4=9x
x=0.44
Length =5x=5×0.44=2.2cm
Breadth 4x=4×0.44=1.8cm
The length of the adjacent sides are 2.2cm and 1.8cm
