Simple permanent plant tissues are made up of only one kind of cells. These tissues include - parenchyma, collenchyma and sclerenchyma. Parenchyma cells are living cells with thin cell wall. Collenchyma cells are living cells with thickened cell wall at corners due to cellulose and pectin. Sclerenchyma cells are dead and have lignified cell walls.
