The slant height of a square pyramid is 10 cm and its surface area is 144 square centimetres. What is the volume of the square pyramid?

Note first that the Volume of a square pyramid = 13×Base area×Height
Given that the base area of the square pyramid = 144cm and the slant height of a square pyramid is 10 cm
Baseedge=144=12 cm
Now, Height of the square pyramid=(Slant height of the pyramid)2(Half the base edge)2=100262=10036=64=8 cm
Thus, the required volume = 13×144×8=384 cubic centimetres
