  • To collect the filings, remove the paper towel from the magnet.
  • The process of sublimation separates the iodine and sand mixture.
  • When iodine and sand are heated together, the iodine sublimates and the sand remains.
  • In this way, Humaira can separate the mixture of iron fillings, sand, and iodine.
