The three R’s that will help us to conserve natural resources for long term use are:
Reduce, Regenerate, Recycle
Recycle, Regenerate, Reuse
Recycle, Regenerate, Renovate
The correct option is D Reduce, Recycle, Reuse
To reduce the over exploitation of natural resources and to save environment, three strategies (3 R's) are followed namely Reduce, Recycle and Reuse.
∙ To ‘reduce’ is to use less. For example, we can save electricity by switching off lights and fans, when they are not in use.
∙ In ‘recycling’ we collect plastic, paper, glass and metal items and recycle these materials to make required things instead of synthesising or extracting fresh plastic, paper, glass or metal.
∙ In the ‘reuse’ strategy, we simply use things again and again. For example, the plastic bottles in which we buy various food-items like jam or pickle can be used for storing things in the kitchen.
