Solution

The correct option is D 291.16 m2

Curved surface area of a frustum cone = π(r + R)s ?

Total surface area of a frustum of cone = π(r + R)s+ πr2 + πR2 311.56 m2

Smaller circle area = πr2 8.4 m2

Larger circle area = πR2 => 12 m2

Therefore,
SA = π(r + R)s +πr2 + πR2

311.56 = Curved surface area + 8.4 + 12

311.568.412=Curved surface area

Curved surface area of a frustum cone = 291.16 m2
