Let the radius of the sphere be r

So diameter of sphere =2×r=2r

According to the question

height and diameter of cylinder =diameter of sphere

So height of cylinder =2r

We know that volume of cylinder =πr2h=πr2(2r)=2πr3

And volume of sphere =43πr3

Then according to the given condition

volume of sphere=23volume of cylinder

43πr3=23(2πr3)43πr3=43πr3

Hence the given condition is true .
