Solution

(a) Mass remains same

Mass of boy 30 kg on earth = 30 kg on moon surface

(b) 6 kg on the moon is 10 N
6 kg on the Earth is 60 N

Weight of boy on moon becomes 1/ 6th

30 kg boy will weight = 30 x 10 = 300 N on Earth

Weight of boy on the moon = 300 x 1/ 6 = 50 N

Weight of boy on moon surface = 50 N
