Let the percentage of isotope 168X=x
and percentage of isotope 188X=100x

Average atomic mass of an element (X) = 16.2

Average atomic mass=Mass of 168X × Percentage of 168X + Mass of 188X × Percentage of 188X100
16.2=16 × x + 18 × (100 - x) 100

1620=16x+180018x
2x=18001620
x=1802
x=90

The percentage of isotope 168X or x=90%
The percentage of isotope 188X=(100x)=(10090)=10%
