Solution

The correct option is A Kathak
The above mentioned Indian classical dance form is 'Kathak'. The word 'Kathak' has its origins from the Sanskrit word Katha which means story. Both Hindu and Muslim rulers patronised this dance form giving it the status of a court entertainment. Kathak evolved into three main schools of thought- Lucknow, Jaipur and Benares. Each school of thought has well defined system of artistic values and specialities. Kathak captivates people with its swift pirouettes, rhythmic virtuosity, and lyrical exploration of romantic as well as devotional poetry. The other dance forms like Odisi, Manipuri, and Kuchipudi are indigenous to the states of Orissa, Manipur, and Andhra Pradhesh respectively.
