The correct option is C diverging lens of focal length 30 cm
Let f1, f2 and f3 be the focal lengths of the three lens.

Then we have, initially

1F1=1f1+1f2+1f3 .....(1)

where F1=12 cm

When the third lens is removed, we have

1F2=1f1+1f2 .....(2)

where F2=607 cm

On subtracting (2) from (1) we get,

1F1F2=1f3

112760=1f3

5760=1f3

f3=30 cm.

Since f3 is negative, it is a diverging lens.
