Solution

The correct option is C Thyroxine

The anterior pituitary gland produces tropic hormones. The tropic hormones stimulate other endocrine glands to produce hormones. Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) is one such tropic hormone. TSH stimulates the synthesis and secretion of thyroxine from the thyroid gland.

The parathyroid glands secrete a hormone called parathormone (PTH). The secretion of PTH is regulated by the circulating levels of calcium ions.

The adrenal medulla secretes two hormones called adrenaline or epinephrine and noradrenaline or norepinephrine. Adrenaline and noradrenaline are rapidly secreted in response to the stress of any kind and during emergency situations and are called emergency hormones or hormones of Fight or Flight.
