3x + 4y + 2x


The total price of clothes for the previous shopping was 3x + 4y, where x is the cost of one pant and y is the cost of one shirt.
Rahul is buying 2 more shirts,
Price of 2 shirts = 2y
Therefore, the total price of clothes = Rs. (3x + 4y + 2y)
Since 4y and 2y are like terms, we can add the numerical coefficients and write 4y + 2y as 6y

Total price = Rs. (3x + 6y)
