Solution

The correct option is B $$4 m/sec^2$$
given $$a_2 = 12 m/s^2$$
from equation (1) and (2)
$$200- 10a_2 = 20a_1$$
$$200 - 120 = 20a_1$$
$$\Rightarrow a_1=\dfrac {80}{20}=4 m/s^2$$
