The correct option is C $2.5 m / s^{2}$
Given : $m_{1} = 10 k g$ $m_{2} = 6 k g$
Acceleration of the masses $a = \frac{(m_{1} - m_{2}) g}{m_{1} + m_{2}}$
$⟹ a = \frac{(10 - 6) 10}{10 + 6} = 2.5 m / s^{2}$
Correct answer is option C.
