The correct option is C m1u1+m2u2
The initial momentum of body of mass m1 = m1u1
The initial momentum of body of mass m2 = m2u2
Total initial momentum before collision = m1u1+m2u2
According to the law of conservation of momentum, the total momentum of a system is always conserved, i.e. the initial momentum is equal to the final momentum.
So we can say the total final momentum = m1v1+m2v2= the total initial momentum = m1u1+m2u2
