Solution

The correct option is C 1.33 m/s
Given : m1=m2=0.1 kg
Velocities of objects before collision : u1=2 m/s u2=1 m/s
Velocities of objects after collision : v1=1.67 m/s v2=?
Conservation of momentum : Pi=Pf
m1u1+m2u2=m1v1+m2v2
OR 0.1(2)+0.1(1)=0.1(1.67)+0.1v2 v2=1.33 m/s
