Open in App
Solution

Given the Electric field at the location of Q = E

We can write,

Electric field due to charge at the location of Q due to charge -3Q

E=K3Qr2 ------(1)

The electric field at the location of 3Q due to the charge Q

E1=KQr2 -------(2)

From the equation 1 and equation 2, we can say that

The electric field at the location of -3Q is one-third of the electric field at the location of Q
