If pole strength, magnetic moment and length of each part are m', M' and L' respectively then

$m^{{}^{\prime }}=\frac{m}{2}$ $m^{{}^{\prime }}=m$
$L^{{}^{\prime }}=L$ $L^{{}^{\prime }}=\frac{L}{2}$
$\Rightarrow M^{{}^{\prime }}=\frac{M}{2}$ $\Rightarrow M^{{}^{\prime }}=\frac{M}{2}$
