The correct option is C 30 cm Initial speed of the stones u=0
Distance covered by each stone in t=1 s, S=ut+12gt2
∴S=0+12gt2=12gt2
Or S=12(10)(1)2=5 m
Thus both the stones cover same distance in time t=1 s.
Hence distance between them after 1 s will be same as the initial distance between them i.e. 30 m.
