The capacity of tank A=85 litres

The capacity of tank B=68 litres

In order to find the maximum capacity of a container which can measure the oil in both tanks, we need to find the HCF of 68 and 85.
68=2×2×17

85=5×17

HCF of 68 and 85 =17
