Step 1: Find out the deviations of each given number from base 10
Step 2: Deviation of 8 from base 10 = 8-10=-2
Deviation of 7 from base 10 = 7-10=-3
And write the deviations on the right side like this

Step 3: Multiply the two deviations -2 and -3 and write the deviations on the right side and if there is a carry over, bring it on the left side and add with the sum of first number (In this case 8) and the second deviation (In this case -3)
