Very short answer type:
In a polarised membrane, what is the charge just inside the membrane?

Solution

At resting potential or polarized state, the axonal membrane is comparatively more permeable to potassium ions and nearly impermeable to sodium ions. Therefore, a resting neuron is negatively charged on the inside and positively charged on the outside. Such a charge separation is called polarization and thus resting neuron is said to be polarised.
