Solution

Answer:

Literary sources are the information gathered in written forms that explain the essence of ancient culture. Sources incorporate information like journals, letters, books and investigative reports in impression, automated and visual compositions.

Types of literary sources

There are three kinds of literary sources namely religious, foreign and secular accounts. Literary sources remind us of our ancestor’s social, political, economic, cultural & religious activities. In nature, most of the ancient manuscripts are religious. In addition to religious literature, also there is a huge volume of secular literature on math, science and medicine. In ancient and medieval times, many educated individuals travelled around the globe.

  • History of Vedic, Pali, Sanskrit Prakrit, and other discoveries at the same time as other external accounts constitutes the literary source.
  • The Puranic literature is considered by Indians as history, except for events and states, it does not have any particular time period.
  • The literary origins of a history book are archaeological discoveries, such as Coins, monuments, manuscripts, and so on.
