Question

What are the basic differences between sexual and asexual reproduction?

Open in App
Solution

In asexual reproduction, the offspring come from a single parent, so no copulation occurs, and only one organism is responsible for the reproduction. In sexual reproduction, on the other hand, both parents are involved to produce an offspring. The organism that reproduces sexually has a better chance of survival because sexual reproduction generates more variations and variations helps in survival of the species.
