Solution

The factors which influence enzyme activity are:-
  • Temperature- Change in temperature effects the enzyme activity, the rise in temperature increases the enzyme activity. The heat enhances the kinetic energy of the molecules which results in more collisions between them.
  • pH- The efficiency of an enzyme is influenced by the pH of its surrounding. The charge of amino acid changes with the change in pH. When the pH values become high or low, the basic structure of the enzyme changes.
  • Inhibitors- Those substances which have a tendency to prevent activities of the enzyme. They inhibit the enzyme function in two different ways.
  • Allosteric factors- There are some enzymes which have one active site or one or more regularly sites called allosteric factors.
