What are the natural methods of reproduction in plants?
There are two types of natural methods of reproduction in plants.
(i) Sexual reproduction is the process by which two parent plants give rise to a new plant. The new plant formed has characteristics of both the parent plants.
(ii) Asexual reproduction is the process by which a single parent plant gives rise to a new plant which is exactly identical to the parent plant. It involves vegetative reproduction. It is of two types:
• Natural vegetative propagation
• Artificial vegetative propagation
