Elements that are naturally found on the Earth's surface are known as heavy metals. Some of these are also a present in the human body and its presence in systems but in trace or small quantities. Examples: Zinc, Copper, Iron.
The presence of too much amount of heavy metal in the human body by any means like absorption etc, leads to heavy metal poisoning.
Each metal shows its specific symptoms, but some are common in all. These common symptoms that can be observed in the body include Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, chills, abdominal pain, weakness, etc.
Other than these, when it is present in the body of a child, the bones tend to become weaker and they lose their strength.
Pregnant Women are at high risk as their pregnancies are affected. They can undergo miscarriage or give birth to a child prematurely.
