Livestock refers to a domesticated animal reared in an agricultural setting to produce substances such as food and fibre, or for its labour. Any breed of animal kept by humans for a useful commercial-purpose is called livestock. Livestock have great economic value. They are used to obtain meat, fibre, milk and other by-products, manure, for land management, agriculture and for transport.
