What do you mean by wavelength of colours?

Dear student ,
wavelength of colour means , when we pass the rays of different wavelengths from Prism and we get different colours on other side . For shorter wavelength gives a blue colour and for longer wavelength gives a red colour . And Light waves, like waves in water, can be described by the distance between two successive peaks of the wave - a length known as the wavelength. Different wavelengths of light appear to our eyes as different colors. Shorter wavelengths appear blue or violet, and longer wavelengths appear red.
