What do you understand by state function? Neither q nor w is a state function but q+w is a state function. Explain.

State function is a property whose value depends only upon the state of

system an is independent of the path, q and w are not state

functions because they depends upon path. But q+w=AE which is a

state function. AE does not depend upon path.
