Solution
(i) It is a displacement reaction. It is as follows : CuSO4(aq)+2Fe(s)⟶Fe2(SO4)3+3Cu(s)
(ii) Zinc reacts with dilute sulphuric acid to give zinc sulphate with the evolution of hydrogen gas. The reaction is as follows: Zn+H2SO4⟶ZnSO4+H2↑
(iii) Small pieces of sodium burn in the air with often little more than an orange glow. Using larger amounts of sodium
or burning it in oxygen gives a strong orange flame. A white solid
mixture of sodium oxide and sodium peroxide is formed.
