A green house is a structure ,whose walls , roofs are made of transparent material (as glass) , generally used to keep the inside atmosphere warmer than outside , so that plants inside the house can get a warmer environment for their growth .
Green house allows the high frequency radiation (visible light , infrared radiation etc.) to enter inside it , this radiation is absorbed by the floor and the contents of green house and then emitted but in the form of low frequency radiation (longer wavelength infrared radiation) , which cannot pass through the transparent walls and roof of green house , thus trapped in house in the form of heat , making the air inside warmer .
