Dialysis:

  1. ​Dialysis is the process of removal of the excess waste material from blood.
  2. It the artifical process of filtering blood, which is done to remove the nitrogenous waste products that can result in toxicity inside the system.
  3. The blood of the patient from the radial artery moves through the dialysis machine and removes the excess salts along with urea, uric acid and creatinine.
  4. Therefore, dialysis process acts like the an artificial kidney.

Requirement of dialysis:

  1. ​People lacking a properly functioning kidney, due to kidney failure require dialysis.
  2. This helps with the removal of waste products normally done by the kidney to ensure that blood toxicity level does not rise.
