Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by an object due to its motion.

The kinetic energy possessed by an object of mass, m and moving with a uniform velocity, v is K.E=12mv2
It depends on mass and velocity of object.

Example - A moving bullet, blowing wind, a rotating wheel, a speeding stone etc.
Any moving object can do work.
