What is myopia? Explain two possible reasons of myopia. How can it be corrected? Explain with suitable diagram.

Myopia or short sightedness is a defect which arises due to slight elongation of the eyeball or due to bulging of the eye lens. This increases the distance between the eye lens and retina.

This defect can be corrected by using concave lens as shown in the figure, it will diverge the light ray such that after refraction from the eye lens it converges on the retina
