What is photo electric effect? On which two factors the photo electric current depends.

When a photon of light incident on the metal surface, electron absorb the light and can be ejected from the$ surface of the metal in the phenomena known as photoelectric effect, and the electrons that are ejected from the metal are called photoelectrons.

The factors on which photoelectric current depends are,

1) Light Intensity( Number of photoelectrons that will emit depend on intensity of light)

2) Frequency (KE of photoelectron increases with increase in frequency)
