Lyophobic sols	Lyophilic sols
Disperse phase and dispersion medium have low affinity for each other.	Disperse phase and dispersion medium have strong affinity for each other.
The dispersion medium and the sol have same viscosity.	Sol has higher viscosity than dispersion medium.
The dispersion medium and the sol have same surface tension.	Sol has lower surface tension than dispersion medium.
These sols are irreversible and less stable.	These sols are reversible and highly stable.
