What is the difference between streptstreptococccus and saccharomyces.


Solution

Streptococcus has a role in dairy industry. Due to its role in the formation of yoghurt, it is also known as lactic acid bacterium. It produces many enzymes one of which is streptokinase. Streptokinase is useful in medical practice as it can break the blood clots.


Saccharomyces cerevisiae, also known as bakers yeast. It is helpful in making bread in bakery and wines and beers in brewing industry.
