What is the major difference between Fleming’s right hand rule and left hand rule?
the right hand rule is for positive charge then is the left hand rule applicable for negative charge??

Solution

Left Hand Rule

Right Hand Rule

Invented by

John Ambrose Fleming

John Ambrose Fleming

Used for

Electric Motors

Generator

Purpose

The direction of motion in an electric motor

The direction of induced current when a conductor moves in a magnetic field.

Thumb

The Thumb represents the direction of the Thrust on the conductor / Motion of the Conductor.

The Thumb represents the direction of Motion of the conductor.

First / Fore Finger

The Fore finger represents the direction of the magnetic Field

The First finger represents the direction of the Field. (north to south)

Second / Middle / Center Finger

The Centre finger represents the direction of the Current

The Second finger represents the direction of the induced or generated Current (the direction of the induced current will be the direction of conventional current; from positive to negative).

Basically, Flemings left hand rule is used to find the direction of force on the conductor. Here we take current direction from positive side to negative side(conventional current) and then we apply flemings left hand rule.
In general, we use the same following convention. According to your question, if you consider about electron movement, the current direction would be reversed which ultimately changes the direction of force on the conductor. It indirectly means that you are changing the platform from positive charge movement to negative charge movement ,so you have to think completely in this platform(electrons movement alone for entire problem) in order to get correct solutions.
