Solution

The nucleus is the main controller of a eukaryotic cell. Its main function is to store the genetic material in the form of DNA. It undergoes transcription to make RNA that undergoes translation to form proteins. The proteins are used in various cellular functions such as making hormones and enzymes. Hence in the absence of a nucleus, the cell will die.
