We know that, hv=hv0+eV
Since v=cλ, we have hcλ=hcλ0+eV, where λ0 is the threshold wavelength.
For wavelength λ, hcλ=hcλ0+2eV0 .....(i)
And for wavelength 2λ, hc2λ=hcλ0+eV02 .....(ii)
Eliminating V0 from (i) and (ii), we get λ0=3λ
Hence, the correct choice is (d).
