The correct option is A A and B
Greenhouse effect is a naturally occurring phenomenon wherein certain gases (carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, CFCs etc.) in the Earth’s atmosphere trap the heat and keep the earth warm.
This phenomenon is very much similar to what occurs in a greenhouse which is used to grow certain plants especially in winter.
A greenhouse is a small glass house in which the glass panel lets the light in, but does not allow the heat to escape. Therefore, the plants in the greenhouse remain warm especially in the night and during winters.
Inside a greenhouse there is an inlet for carbon dioxide gas. This is done to increase the rate of photosynthesis in the plants and speed up the growing process. Apart from this, carbon dioxide traps heat as it is a greenhouse gas.
The process of photosynthesis releases oxygen and hence the greenhouse has oxygen. However, oxygen plays no role in trapping the solar radiation and thus does not contribute to the greenhouse effect.
Therefore, the factors which contribute to the greenhouse effect are glass walls and high carbon dioxide content.
