Solution

The correct options are
B

“Do a little stretching; it might reduce the pain”

C

“Take some deep breaths! You’ll get more oxygen”

D

“Put some warm water over those muscles, you’ll feel relaxed”

Doing a few stretches and light movements may seem painful at first. But this actually helps in circulating blood around the muscles. Increased blood flow helps to flush out the lactic acid that causes cramps.

Taking deep breaths also increases heart rate and circulation. It also helps in oxygenating blood better. This again can reduce cramps.

Pouring warm water over cramped muscles has the same effect. This is why we feel relaxed when taking a warm water bath after playing the entire evening. Warm water increases circulation and in addition reduces soreness.

Contrary as it may appear, drinking or eating something after strenuous exertion does more harm as the body’s attention is on digestion at that time. It is better to wait at least half an hour before consuming anything. Naturally, drinking milk neither improves circulation nor it gives instant energy.
