XY2 will be looking like Y-X-Y or Y = X = Y.

In both the arrangements, 180 will result in cancellation and thus, no net dipole moment.

μnet = μ21 + μ22 + 2μ1μ2 cosθ

Where θ is angle between the ligands(Y)

For θ = 90 cos θ = 0

θ = 120 cos θ = 0.5

θ = 150 cos θ = 0.87

for 120 and 150, it will result in the term 2μ1μ2 cos θ which will reduce the magnitude of dipole moment,

Thus, at θ = 90, μ will have maximum value.
