Endemic species are those species of plants and animals which are found exclusively in a particular area. They are not naturally found anywhere else.
Increasing human population leads to destruction of forests for setting up of buildings or agricultural areas to meet the demand of the growing population.
Increasing human activity to meet demands results in habitat destruction. This renders the endemic species with no place to live.
Introduction of a new species in a land of endemic species also marks danger to their survival. The natural predator of the foreign species will not be present to keep their population in check. The new species fight with the endemic species for all the resources.
