Solution

The correct option is B (iii), (iv), (i), (ii)
King Louis XVI was executed in the French Revolution of 1793.

He was succeeded byKing Louis XVIII in 1814. He ruled the Empire with the consent of a parliamentary body called the Chamber of Deputies. He also signed a charter, the Charter of 1814, which acted as a constitution.

Then, in 1824, his brother,King Charles X,took over the throne. He was against the revolutionaries and tried to restore the clergy and aristocracy. The Chamber of Deputies tried to intervene, but he flung aside their objections, ignoring the Charter of 1814. France saw another revolution known as the July Revolution. This forced Charles X to flee France.

In his place, cameLouis Phillippe, the new King of the French. He also managed to alienate the French masses and was soon compelled to flee.
