Solution

The correct option is D Arunachal Pradesh
  • NSA---Area which is sown at least once in a year is called net sown area (NSA).
  • The pattern of NSA varies greatly from one state to another. It is over 80 per cent of the total area in Punjab and Haryana and less than 10 per cent in Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur and Andaman Nicobar Islands.
  • In states like Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram etc the percentage of NSA is low because of its relief features, mountainous and dense forest area and harsh climatic conditions.
  • Also the farmers here are poor and they lack adequate resources to expand their cultivation and mainly practice subsistence farming for their family needs.
