Compatible pollen after landing on the stigma of a flower germinates to form the pollen tube which travels through the style to reach the ovary. Once the pollen tube carrying two male gametes passes through the micropyle and enters into ovule and then into embryo sac, one male gamete fertilises the egg cell, forming a diploid zygote. However, diploid zygote is not formed in all the species. Hence, the formation of diploid zygote is not a universal feature. In flowering plants, the zygote is formed inside the ovule which develops into the embryo. The fertilised ovule forms the seed while the tissues of the ovary become the fruit, usually enveloping the seed.
Hence, only statement b, that is, zygote is formed inside the ovule, is correct.
