Part 1: Plant pigments
Chemical substances present in the plants are capable of reflecting different wavelengths of light in the visible spectrum are called plant pigments. Plant pigments can be categorised into 4 types - chlorophylls, anthocyanins, carotenoids, and betalains. Chlorophyll molecules are responsible for the green color in plants.

Part 2: Chlorophyll
The color of the leaves in the same plant can be in different shades. This depends upon the number of chlorophyll.
